South Wall Fire Rescue Company was established in 1946 to provide fire suppression within the south side of Wall Township. Since the founding of the company the fire department has become one of the most progressive and aggressive fire departments in Southern Monmouth County. Our fire fighters handle all matter of fire related emergencies including, structural fire fighting, Rapid Intervention (R.I.T), vehicle extrication & structural collapse.
All individuals 18 years of age and older are welcome to join South Wall, whether you have experience in the fire service, have relatives who are fire fighters, or do not have any knowledge of fire fighting. South Wall will provide all training necessary for you to succeed in the fire service, either in house or at any of the area fire academies. In order to be a NJ Certified Fire Fighter, one must pass the Fire Fighter 1 & 2 programs taken at the fire academy. South Wall provides drills and training every Monday night for our membership.
Our volunteers come from all career backgrounds, such as finance, teaching, law enforcement, construction and engineering. All bring a unique set of skills that enrich the department.
Join South Wall and bring your own unique skill to the fireground.
A Junior Fire Fighter program is currently being written, so please stay up to date of any upcoming information!
